Our History – A Family Legacy

From a Small Village in Morocco to a Dream Come True

The story of Palm View Palace begins in 1962, when Khadija and Seddik Ait Bouhou left their small village of Zaouit, near Ouarzazate, to begin a new life in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Like many families of their generation, they were searching for better opportunities and a more secure future.

For more than three decades, Germany became their home. Seddik worked as a plumber, while Khadija devoted herself to raising their three sons and caring for the family.

Yet their roots in Morocco remained an essential part of their lives.

A Father’s Vision – Built by the Family

Years later, Seddik pursued a dream in his homeland: to create something lasting in the region where his family’s journey had begun.

Together with his sons Rashid and Hassan, he dedicated himself to building what would become Palm View Palace.

The hotel represents far more than a building. It is a symbol of determination, family unity and the connection between two countries that shaped their lives.

A New Chapter – Palm View Palace

Following its final renovations and interior preparations, Palm View Palace officially opened its doors in March 2025.

Today, Mohamed Ait Bouhou, the hotel’s owner, proudly carries forward his family’s legacy.

Together with General Manager Youssef, whose dedication and professional hospitality have contributed significantly to the hotel’s development, he welcomes guests from around the world.

The positive international guest reviews are a source of pride for the entire family and the team.

A Legacy of Hospitality

What began with the courage of two people leaving their homeland in search of a better future has become a place where people from different countries meet and feel welcome.

Palm View Palace is not simply a hotel. It is a family story, built across generations, rooted in Morocco and shaped by a lifetime of dedication.

Sustainability & Natural Resources

At Palm View Palace, we believe that true hospitality also means respecting the natural environment around us. Our approach to sustainability is inspired by the extraordinary climate of Ouarzazate and the responsible use of its natural resources.

Solar Energy — Powered by the Moroccan Sun

Our rooftop solar thermal system harnesses the abundant Moroccan sunshine to heat water, helping us reduce our reliance on conventional energy sources. By making use of this renewable source of energy, we combine modern comfort with a more environmentally conscious approach to hospitality.

Natural Well Water — A Precious Resource

Our own well provides an independent water source for the property and contributes to the natural character of our swimming pool. The pleasantly soft water offers our guests a refreshing and relaxing swimming experience, reflecting our appreciation for the natural resources of the region.

Naturally Sun-Dried Freshness

Our freshly washed bed linen and towels are naturally dried under the beautiful Moroccan sun on our rooftop terrace, making the most of Ouarzazate’s warm and dry climate. This traditional, energy-conscious method brings a special touch of natural freshness to our guest rooms while reducing the need for electric tumble dryers.

Our Philosophy

Together, these thoughtful practices reflect our commitment to responsible resource management, energy efficiency and a more sustainable approach to hospitality. At Palm View Palace, sustainability is part of our everyday philosophy.
